Zendesk
With Zendesk connected, a finished conversation can become a support ticket, so your team picks up where the agent left off.
Connect it
- Open your workspace and go to Integrations.
- Select the Zendesk card.
- Enter your Zendesk subdomain — just the name, the
yourcompanypart ofyourcompany.zendesk.com, not the whole address. - Continue. You are sent to Zendesk to approve access and returned afterwards.
The card then shows the connected subdomain and when the connection was made.
When a ticket is created
You choose the rule, and it applies to every call the agent finishes:
- Create a ticket for every conversation — nothing is missed, at the cost of more tickets.
- Only outside business hours — calls your team could not have answered live become tickets. You set the business hours next to this option.
- Only when the AI can't resolve it — the agent handles what it can, and only the rest reaches your queue.
Start with the last one if you are not sure: it keeps the queue closest to what a person actually needs to act on.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Chatley says it could not determine your subdomain | Enter only the name, not the full URL. |
| Zendesk isn't configured for your organization | Your Zendesk account has not been set up for this connection — contact support. |
| No tickets appear | Check which rule is selected; "only when the AI can't resolve it" and "outside business hours" both create tickets for a subset of calls only. |
