Connecting OpenAI points your agents at your own OpenAI account, so that usage
is billed there rather than counted against your plan.

This is optional. Agents work without it; connect it when you would rather own
the model usage yourself.

## Connect it

1. Open your workspace and go to **Integrations**.
2. Select the **OpenAI** card.
3. Paste your OpenAI **API key** — the one that begins with `sk-`, created in
   your own OpenAI account.
4. Save.

The key is stored on the Chatley server, never in your browser. Treat it like a
password: revoke it at OpenAI and reconnect if it may have been exposed.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to check |
| --- | --- |
| The key is rejected | Check it starts with `sk-`, was copied whole, and is still active. |
| Calls fail after connecting | Confirm the OpenAI account has credit and the key has not hit its usage limit. |
