OpenAI
Connecting OpenAI points your agents at your own OpenAI account, so that usage is billed there rather than counted against your plan.
This is optional. Agents work without it; connect it when you would rather own the model usage yourself.
Connect it
- Open your workspace and go to Integrations.
- Select the OpenAI card.
- Paste your OpenAI API key — the one that begins with
sk-, created in your own OpenAI account. - Save.
The key is stored on the Chatley server, never in your browser. Treat it like a password: revoke it at OpenAI and reconnect if it may have been exposed.
Troubleshooting

| The key is rejected | Check it starts with sk-, was copied whole, and is still active. |
| Calls fail after connecting | Confirm the OpenAI account has credit and the key has not hit its usage limit. |
