Team members & roles

Invite people to your account and control what each of them can change.

An account can have more than one person on it. Each person holds a role, and the role decides what they are allowed to change.

The roles

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything, including plan and billing.
AdminManage workspaces and members. Cannot change billing.
MemberUse and edit operational content — agents, knowledge, campaigns.

Billing is the clearest line between the roles: only the Owner can change the plan or the payment method. An Admin who opens the billing page is told that billing is owner-managed and shown plan usage instead.

The Owner role is not something you hand out from the members list — it is not offered when inviting someone or when changing an existing member's role.

Inviting someone

  1. Open Manage on the workspace to reach the members list.
  2. Choose to invite a member.
  3. Enter their email address.
  4. Choose their Account role — Member, or Admin if you are the Owner.
  5. Send the invitation. They receive an email with a link that adds them to the account once they accept it.

Who can invite whom follows the roles: Owners can invite Admins or Members; Admins can invite Members only. The role selector shows just the roles you are allowed to hand out.

Invitations waiting to be accepted

A pending invitation stays in the members list until it is accepted. From there you can resend it — useful when the first email was missed — or revoke it, which cancels the invitation so the link no longer works.

Changing or removing a member

The members list lets you change a member's role or remove them from the account. Removing someone revokes their access; it does not delete the agents, knowledge, or campaigns they created, which stay in the workspace they belong to.

Access scope

Members added today have access across the whole account, so a role means the same thing in every workspace.

Accounts that existed before that was true can still have members limited to particular workspaces. Those members show an Upgrade to account-wide access action, which only the Owner can use, and which moves them onto the current model. It is a one-way change — there is no control to narrow someone back down to individual workspaces.

  • Workspaces — what a workspace holds, and what is shared across the account instead.
  • Plan & billing — the part only the Owner controls.
